93-year-old filmmaker Chris Hesse embarks on a perilous journey to reclaim an irreplaceable collection of 1,300 vintage films that chronicle Africa's liberation era in the '50s and '60s. While battling declining visibility and deteriorating health, he races against time to bring these hidden gems—now at risk for extinction—back into public light, potentially rewriting history as we know it.
